The Echo Society II: Solstice

The second concert transpired in June 2014 at the Mack Sennett Studios in Los Angeles and showcased a 10-piece chamber ensemble.

The subsequent evening, as part of the Echo Society Seasons Series, premiered on June 29th, 2014, featuring nine new concert pieces and an expanded scope of sound and light design. The event marked the introduction of esteemed international guest composers from Iceland, namely Ms. Kira Kira and trumpeter/composer Eiríkur Ólafsson.

The Solstice evening performance boasted a 12-piece mixed ensemble comprising of strings, trombones, harp, and live percussion. Under the baton of Joe Trapanese, the ensemble, consisting of some of the finest performing musicians in Los Angeles, seamlessly integrated synthesizers, looped beats, and diverse hybrid electronics, epitomizing the distinctive character of Echo Society shows. The concert took place in a sold-out venue at the Mack Sennett Studios, adding to the success of the event.
